This 4-step sequencing activity was designed to teach your patient how to safely go from a standing to a sitting position with a walker minimizing fall risk. Drawing helps the patient attend to this task for longer periods of time, and, combined with association and repetition incorporates memory strategies to aid recall. Could also be combined with spaced-retrieval therapy. Three worksheets provided follow a hierarchy from moderate assistance (initial teaching phase) to modified independence (fading-away therapist cueing).
