Perhaps you are filling out a form at the Doctor's office (if you have this condition, write ___, or if you have a history of this, ____), or filling out a job application, insurance application, or information for credit card. These if/then directions are different than the others you may have used from treatment manuals in that they are meant to be functional, and relevant to the patient. We feel that this will help to improve the ability of the patient to see the value of this skill. This task incorporates receptive language and cognition, as well as some recall elements.
